Gachas are like Marmite, you either love them or hate them… Except that whenever people use this expression, they simply don’t realise that the haters and lovers just happen to have the loudest voices. In between their are a lot of people who just can’t be bothered to join the shouting contest. So gachas, I can taken them or leave them. As far as gacha events in SL go, I think Epiphany probably “rules”… whatever that means. If you want to know more about the event in general, head over to the Epiphany website.
I would have liked to have seen a couple of gifts and just a bit more content for male avatars at this round of Epiphany, but the Thirst City Winter Vibes set is a clear winner for me. The peacoat is a rare item, as is the beige version of the chelsea boots, so you may have to go a bit gacha-mad to get those items or just have a big stroke of luck (hehehe big stroke hehehe). I very much enjoy the mix of distressed jeans with a sharp looking coat. The smart messenger bag is a great finishing touch for this look and makes it seem like I’ve got somewhere important to go. Everything is rigged for Jake and Legacy, materials enabled and auto-hide scripted.
Items are shown on the Legacy mesh body with the Victor mesh head by Catwa. The skin is by Stray Dog and the hair is “Adrian” by Modulus. I’m wearing Basic mesh ears by L’etrê and a beard applier by Birth.
The backdrop is the wonderfully detailed Soho building by Minimal and I quickly stuffed some items in the shallow rooms for a touch of reality… Why does it look like my neighbour is taunting me cause he has the rest of the year off and can have lazy-pyjama-mornings while I still have to go off to work? Not fair! Like I said, a touch of reality.
I assume the City Winter Vibes set will show up at the Thirst main store eventually once this round of Epiphany has ended.
