Thank Hygieia (that’s the Greek and Roman goddess off health, cleanliness and hygiene) that today’s laundry day! It means that I was forced to leave work at a normal time, rather than get stuck in a project and stay way longer than I officially need to. Now instead of meticulously placing products in a catalogue, I can spend the time in between the trips to the laundry room hunting down some more gifts at the Holiday Shop & Hop event before it closes down at midnight SL time. I put on a slightly provocative outfit, yet not to the level that it could get be thrown out anywhere with a “general” or “moderate” rating. Just some very tight leather leggings and a fur vest and stole, which in my mind are of course of the faux fur variety, though it’s not like any real animals ever are killed to produce something in Second Life™. None of these items are available the Shop & Hop event, this is just what I quickly put together for this shopping trip. Meanwhile I did wish I had somewhere I could put the gorgeous MadPea Christmas Carousel, because I definitely would snatch that up at the discounted price. Alas, I’m only occupying a small piece of mainland and a Linden Home at the moment. I recommend visiting MadPea’s main store if you are in the market for this or an other type of carousel and you’re reading this after the HolidayShop & Hop event has ended.
Though I prefer my furry outfit, I would be amiss if I didn’t show of the bomber jacket gift by Etham, even if it’s just from the back, while I’m also showcasing the Yule Wooden Trees, a gift by Madras. This is the kind of Christmas tree everybody has enough prims for. The jacket only includes one colour, but I happen to love the blue to black ombré and you do get a hud for the t-shirt that’s worn underneath the jacket.
At this point it’s clear I won’t be able to still visit all stores before it’s bedtime for me, because… it already IS bedtime. I’m quitting while I’m ahead and still stand a chance to get a decent amount of sleep before the morning alarm yanks me out of the arms of Morpheus again.
