It’s Hunting Time

Those of you familiar with Seconde Life’s premier game creator Madpea, knows that they regularly treat us with a grid wide hunt. It all started with that most traditional of hunts, the Easter Egg hunt in the year whatever. It goes without saying that Halloween easily is the second most fitting season for another one of those hunts. It gives one a sense of trick-o-treating whilst skipping from sim to sim to find haunted objects. This year’s mysterious theme for the hunt is “Masquerade of Murder”, and we’re hunting for hauntingly beautiful masks (see what I did there?), gruesome murder weapons, classic skulls with a twist (their candles, oh how stylish!) and pumpkins with a bite. The point is to collect these items and gather points, which then can be exchanged for prizes. There are also some direct prizes to be found at a select group of contributors. I haven’t found any of these yet, but I probably could easily figure out who the contributors are and visit their stores if I took some time to dive deeper into te details on Madpea’s webpage for the hunt.

For me it’s a good way to (re)discover some sims and see just how slutty an outfit I can get away with while hunting. It definitely is an excuse to dust off some seldom used items and give them a good virtual airing. My look was so on point at Vae Victis.
