When Clef De Peau is no more

Just as in real life, people come and go in Second Life™ (says the man who’s been with his current employer since 1999). The Clef De Peau creator fell out of love with SL and went looking for alternative creative outlets and closed down their store. That leaves me with a couple of shapes that need a new skin suggestion, because I want the note cards that go with my shapes to be useful as possible. I love the smell of a new project in the morning!

First up is the Jude shape I created for Lelutka’s Alain mesh head. After looking around and trying some demos, I finally found a shape at Not Found (ironic) that gets close to the original look. As I always say in the notecard: don’t expect this shape to look good with any other mesh head, but it might work with another skin. Mission accomplished! I don’t know if I have other shapes with Clef De Peau skins, but that deep dive is going to be for another day.

Credits

  • Lelutka Alain mesh head
  • Legacy mesh body
  • Not Found Davis skin for Lelutka EvoX mesh heads and their matching body skin for Legacy. Not Found has more than one vendor for body skins, I’m using the skin that comes with softer belly options as well as defined abs.
  • Billy Beaverhausen Jude shape for Lelutka Alain, including shapes that have been tweaked (to my liking) for Legacy, Belleza Jake and Signature Gianni
  • Modulus Bailey hair
  • Avi-Glam Solstice Eyes, applied to the mesh eyes that come with the Lelutka head
  • Hype (previously Nexus) Body Hair A02 Trail
  • Noche Devlin Briefs (fatpack)
