For this episode of the Virtual Beach Therapy I pulled out the trusty old destination guide and after some perusing of the Nature & Beaches options, I landed at Island France Pittoresque.
Island France Pittoresque is an archipelago bathed in warm light with sun kissed beaches and small islets, perfect for relaxation and meditation or spending quality time with that special someone. It’s a rather typical example of a romantic little paradise in Second Life™ with just enough photogenic qualities to make it worth my while. The quirkiest aspect of this sim, is that you can read extracts of books (in French) about the history of France and travel through time while you enjoy the feeling of warm sand between your toes… Well, kind of… And if you can read French.
As mentioned before, France Pittoresque isn’t just an island, it’s archipelago. That’s a group of islands, in case you weren’t familiar with the word and couldn’t be bothered to look it up. I happen to have one of those at my doorstep here in Stockholm, but I do remember thinking “what the flip is an archipelago”. Ah age, it brings so much wisdom… and pains and aches. Anyway, it means you can swim away from the main island of France Pittoresque and park your virtual tushy on one those little islands for a while. Personally I don’t get a strong immersive experience out of this, but it can be a nice place to chat the night away with a friend.
This virtual beach therapy sessions was also a good excuse to try on my new pair of Kitt Swim Briefs by Noche, which you currently can pick up at the Alpha Event until July 22nd. With certain Olympic Games memes coming at me from all social media sides these days, I feel that this rather detailed bulgy pair of swim briefs is very much capturing the zeitgeist. Wasn’t this just a wonderfully elegant way to refer to big willies? Pat on the back for myself!
Noche’s Tied Paolo Top has received an update and now includes a Reborn size, for those of you that like to use that body with the flat chest modification. I don’t think any other changes have been made to this shirt. Meanwhile I noticed that all new Noche creations are PBR enabled and require PBR-supported viewer. My aging ROG gaming laptop is huffing and puffing somewhat when I’m using Firestorm’s latest PBR-supported viewer. Maybe I should try it with the official SL viewer. I’ve also tried the PBR viewer on a Mac and it makes all mesh hair look like it’s been styled by a goat and apparently there’s no fix for that yet. But hey, maybe I’m just the old goat that need to get a new computer. So, before this turns into an extremely self-indulging Trump-style rally rant that adds nothing your day and won’t give you any idea of how I’m going to improve your life but does let you know just how sorry I feel for myself, I’m simply going to leave you with some of the credits.
