Another Fairy Day – Episode 19

As someone told me lately: “Everyone deserves the chance to fly

So there it is. A Wicked reference is as good a way as any to start a fairy themed blog post with, though there aren’t any fairies in Wicked, as far as I know. Should I create a munchkin look instead?

It’s the end of April and I’ve done hardly anything in Second Life™ this month. I think I’ve mentioned it once or twice that it doesn’t have as much hold on me as it once had, but Second Life hasn’t completely lost it charm. The idea of creating SL content daily seems rather attractive as a day job. Unfortunately nobody’s offering me that opportunity, so I’ve got my current actual day job to content with, not to mention the fact that we’re edging towards yet another time in which “you should be grateful you have a job” and sticking it to “the man” isn’t a viable option. So hell yes, it’s time to fly and if I’m flying solo, at least I’m flying free.

Each fairy outing needs a destination that has a certain je ne sais quoi, something mystical and definitely something magical. Today’s location doesn’t specifically cater for fairies, but it does have that something special and though I’m limiting my photoshoot to just a couple of images, there are plenty of interesting photogenic spots to discover at The Forest of Hours. If you take your time to take it all in, you might indeed end up spending hours here, exploring the enchanting forest with trails, caves, and fun things to discover. On the west, The Forest of Hours seamlessly connects with Cael Ystafell in the region Echo, with even more verdant woods to explore. I enjoyed wandering and standing around at this sim listening to the local 1930’s streaming service, with the volume turned down low enough so the sounds of nature could still easily be heard over the music. The entire area is open to the public, has a moderate rating and is new resident friendly.

My fairies may have been slightly underdressed for the sim, though I didn’t receive any complaints and it’s not like my meat and two veg were on full display or anything. I won’t mention your camel toe if you stay schtum about my moose knuckle. I definitely like the combination of the Wyatt thong and Roman cuffs (both by Noche) for a fairy look. Where a zipper tends to fail for this look, anything with laces automatically lends itself well to uphold the fairy fantasy. The gold cuffs traditionally would be paired with a toga, which also works for a fairy look, but in my mind they look equally good with this thong. I think I was getting away with it. I was, as they say, feeling myself. I haven’t quite figured out if I’m mostly wholesome with a sprinkling of dirt or just really dirty with a dash of wholesomeness.
