Late Night Feelings

When I first spotted the Late Night Feelings Merch at Noche, I wondered if this was just another Second Life™ sales event I hadn’t heard of yet. When I landed at the Dreamland sim, I could sense that this was something else, but what? Was it an art installation, an “experience” or just a fancy sim? I liked it, but I needed to know more.

After some wandering around I quickly started to get a sense that this thing was music related. The fact that I was blasted with music as I landed at the sim, should have given me an inkling. Eventually I found my way to the ‘Meet The Artist’ room, but it didn’t tell me enough to get the full picture. I had to do some quick googling to find my way to this Second Life Spotlight about the artist behind the Late Night Feelings musical project. In Seconde Life he goes by Max, a.k.a. Cosmic Cat. His music is described as “living in the space where honesty meets imagination, a place meant to feel safe, warm, and familiar for anyone who needs it.” From the bits I’ve heard, I’m kinda getting that vibe. I’m slightly sad to have missed the In Your Dreams album release party that took place earlier this month. I see it was on a Sunday. I may have been lost in dreams myself back then, somewhere between awake in a fantasy and asleep in a dense fog. Weaving in and out off consciousness with Stranger Things on the TV. I think I need that safe space he’s talking about before I end in The Upside Down.
