As in real life, I haven’t exactly made the most of Black Friday Week or actual Black Friday itself in Seconde Life™. Only now, before I go to bed and make an attempt at getting enough sleep so I can start off the work week bright eyed and bushy tailed, I’m making a quick trip to Semller, because they have a lovely 50% discount on their entire range until December 2nd. I was looking at the sneakers I was wearing and felt a certain level of dissatisfaction with their lack of detail and sophistication. I shan’t mention the brand, but I was sure that Semller is one of the shoemakers in SL who have some really well constructed sneakers and could improve my footwear situation. I went with a pair that reminded me of my favorite sneaker brand in real life (Vans).
I was tempted to get a new pair of jeans, but honestly, I basically get attacked by them every time I open my inventory. They all are shouting: “wear me, wear me”, rather like those seaguls in Finding Nemo. How many pairs of jeans does one need, really? I took a look at Cold Ash and thought their Holloway jeans looked nice, which I happened to own already. This is by no means a recent item, but these jeans still look rather refined today, in my humble opinion (which isn’t that humble).
I picked up the Quincey top by Noche from their blogger lounge. This new piece was recently launched at Lewd Station, a newish monthly sales event that typically runs from the 20th until the 15th of the next month, so the current round ends on December 15th. There are no Black Friday discounts, but items tend to be slightly cheaper at events anyway, compared to their full price at a brand’s main store. I don’t know if that is the case at Lewd Station, but the explosion of colour at that sim is almost worth a visit by itself.
Et voilà, that’s my rather quickly put together somewhat sporty and kinda sexy look of the day. It’s mostly black with just some subtle pink accents, including a hint of thong. I didn’t have to put time in figuring out a head, body, shape, skin etc. because I just randomly grabbed an existing outfit. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, right?
